About Jem's Podiatry & Chiropody

As an experienced Podiatrist/Chiropodist based in the Hinckley and surrounding areas, Jemma has worked as a Podiatrist for over ten years and in the NHS for over eight years.
Jemma prides herself on being disability friendly and specialises in patients who live with Autism.
We welcome everyone from all walks of life, so if you have any specific needs please do not hesitate to contact us before to discuss how we can make your visit more comfortable.

Nails, Corns and or Callus

Nails that are thickened maybe from trauma, fungal or brittle nails, you may not be able to reach due to disability or maybe just because you would like some advice on how to cut them more appropriately.

Nail care

We offer routine nail care. We also specialise in thickened, fungal or ingrowing toenails and can offer advice and the best course of treatment to suit your individual needs.

What is a Podiatrist.

As a podiatrist our title is protected by the Heath Care Professions Council, we attend university full time for 3-4 years as a minimum to study Podiatry obtaining a BSc Honours degree in Podiatric Medicine. 

A Podiatrist has general medical training to treat a wide variety of lower limb and foot conditions as well as some systematic medical conditions such as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis.

A Podiatrist is a modern term for a Chiropodist.
